Airconditioning outside temperature sensor issue.
Author Last Post
Greetings.
My 1987 Allante has an outdoor temperature sensing issue. It does not seem to involve the outside temperature sensor behind the grille, as we have attempted two good sensors and the obvious solution does not fix the problem.

On the dashboard, my indicated outside temperature is about -7F when I start up, and rises to about +38-42F during daily drives. The A/C only comes on when the indicated outside temperature is 42F or higher. I live in Florida, this car has only been outside of the state once, to my knowledge, and it has never seen any temperatures in this range, ever.

The computer must be confused in its interpretation of temperature data, and as a reading of "42F" seems to correlate with a real temperature of about 95F, it would be nice to have the A/C work at lower temperatures, and in the rain. When I works, it is perfect, I would just like for it to work in the 80s, and in the rain!

Any thoughts are appreciated.
